Singing Grandpops
Join us for Singing & Entertaining other eldersThe grandpops are entertainers to brighten up the day of other elders. We entertain at multiple venues from nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other elder locations.
Why we sing and act?
There are many seniors that are shuttered or can’t make it to a performance or somewhere to enjoy some entertainment. We want to come to those seniors to help make their lives a little more fun through acting and singing.
How we got started:
The Retired Men’s Club of Arlington (RMCA) offers a unique activity known as the Singing Grandpops, which recently celebrated its 36th anniversary. The vocal group performs regularly at senior centers, civic clubs, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Its musical program has been active since its founding in 1990.
Weekly Rehearsals: Every Wednesday morning.
- 1st, 3rd, & 5th Wednesdays: Practice starts at 10:00 AM.
- 2nd & 4th Wednesdays: Practice starts immediately following the main RMCA meeting at 11:30am.
