A Message from Your President
A New Path Forward
Fellow Members,
It is a true honor to serve as your President for the 2026–2028 term. After a career spent in IT leadership, I’ve learned that the best organizations aren’t just projects—they are communities. That is why I am so committed to ensuring the Retired Men’s Club of Arlington is more than an experiment; it is our way of life.
Turning Challenges into Collaboration
Not long ago, our club faced some “grim” challenges with key leadership vacancies. I heard your requests loud and clear: we needed a way to make these roles manageable.
In response, we have moved to a new, collaborative leadership model. By creating a team of Assistant Treasurers to share the workload, we’ve ensured that no single member is overwhelmed. This team-based approach—where we work together across Cribbage, Trips, Bowling, and Golf—is exactly the “new way” of operating that will carry us forward.
Strengthening Our Foundation
To keep this momentum going, I am implementing several structural updates:
- Monthly Executive Board Meetings: We are resuming consistent meetings (starting Friday, April 24th at 9:00 AM) to ensure transparency and effective coordination.
- By-Laws Revision: We are forming a committee to modernize our 2014 Constitution to reflect how we actually operate today.
- Interactive Meetings: Starting April 22nd, we will be dividing our meeting room into committee tables. I want every member to have a place to share their ideas.
A Growing Community: Why Join Us?
We are thrilled to continue welcoming new members into our ranks. If you are a retiree looking for more than just a place to pass the time, you’ve found it. Why join the RMCA?
- Camaraderie: Join a group of men who share your experiences and interests.
- Activity: From our famous trips (like the upcoming PA Dutch excursion) to golf, bowling, and cribbage, there is always something to do.
- Purpose: Our collaborative team model means your skills and ideas directly shape the future of our club.
Become a Part of Our “Way of Life”
We are currently looking for a few more good men to help fill our “social heart” roles in Hospitality, Marketing, and Fundraising. Whether you want to lead or just participate, we want you here.

On a personal note, I want to thank you for your prayers and support as I navigate some recent health challenges. I am recovering well and, health permitting, I fully intend to be with you for our upcoming April events.
Just as the season of Easter brings the promise of renewal, the way our members have stepped up gives me great hope for the “better days ahead.” Thank you for making this club the heartbeat of our community.
